ProLift understands a forklift battery is the most expensive component of an electric truck. A poorly maintained battery will rob your operation of crucial production time due to short battery run time, excessive battery swaps, battery failures and equipment downtime. Regularly scheduled maintenance can catch small problems with your forklift battery before they become major issues. At a minimum, batteries should be serviced twice a year. In addition, battery chargers should be serviced annually.

When you partner with ProLift to service your batteries, you can depend on our trained technicians to:
Visually inspect the overall condition, inspecting for evidence of over or under filling, operating temperature, corrosion, etc
- Spot clean the top of the battery and dry
- Check battery for cracked jars and sealing
- Check electrolyte level and record water level
- Inspect vent caps for cracks, damage or missing caps
- Take voltage and specific gravity reading of all cells
- Check battery straps, cable and connectors
- Provide written recommendations on further repairs
- Verification of DC charge rate
- Inspection of charging cables, housing and contracts
- Inspection and validation of amp meter
- Inspection of contracts/torque connections
- Vacuum/blow out inside of charger when authorized by customer
- Written recommendation on further repairs
ProLift also has the capabilities to recondition your forklift batteries. We’ll capacity test the battery per industry standards to learn if the battery is feasible to recondition. Various areas of the battery will be inspected to ensure it is safe to use and we’ll replace missing or damaged items, remove any built up corrosion and repaint the battery case. Reconditioned batteries are warranted to 6 months.
