Company History

Founded in 1978, ProLift Industrial Equipment had its beginning as a forklift rental house in Louisville, KY. Over the years, we’ve grown into a full-service forklift and aerial equipment dealership, boasting seven locations, over 280 employees and multiple product lines.

In January 2007, Toyota Industries North America (TINA) purchased ProLift. It is a good match. Not only is ProLift a Presidents Award dealership for Toyota, our values and mission are consistent – customer focused and continuous improvement.

A glance at our major milestones:

1978-1989:

• Founded as Handling Systems Rental in Louisville, KY
• Renamed Louisville Lift Truck and became the dealer for Allis Chalmers & Taylor
• Opened full-service dealerships in Lexington, Evansville, & Cincinnati
• Toyota forklifts added to existing primary product line

1990-1999:

• Renamed ProLift Industrial Equipment
• Opened full-service dealerships in Indianapolis & Dayton

2000 - present:

• Opened new facility in West Virginia (Taylor only)
• Became dealer for Aichi and Taylor-Dunn product line
• Expanded into allied and storage & handling products
• Purchased by Toyota Industries North America
